Pakistan has invited Kashmiri separatists for a talk with Pakistan NSA Sartaj Aziz on 23 August in New Delhi .

The Pakistan High Commission has invited over a dozen separatist leaders, including Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Farooq and Yasin Malik who belong to both the factions of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC).

Ayaz Akbar spokesperson of APHC said "Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani was invited for the talks with Pakistan NSA Sartaz Aziz. A decision on whether to accept the invitation will be taken at a meeting of the Hurriyat Conference."

He also stated that the stand taken by Pakistan was welcome as "they have asserted that there will be no dialogue with India without inclusion of Kashmir issue".

Earlier on 18 August, Pakistan army chief General Raheel Sharif and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief Lt General Rizwan Akhtar called on PM Nawaz Sharif to discuss the upcoming visit of prime minister's advisor on national security and foreign affairs Sartaz Aziz to New Delhi.
