Congress leader and Punjab Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu take a U-turn while clarifying that his visit to Pakistan was not directed by party president Rahul Gandhi but on personal invites from Pakistan PM Imran Khan. Sidhu visited Pakistan on the occasion of ground-breaking ceremony of the Kartarpur corridor project.
"Get your facts right before you distort them, Rahul Gandhi Ji never asked me to go to Pakistan. The whole world knows I went on Prime Minister Imran Khan's personal invite.
Earlier, on Friday the cricketer-turned-politician politician, Sindhu was asked about Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh's disapproval of his Pakistan trip. Responding to which, Sidhu said, "My captain is Rahul Gandhi, he has sent me everywhere," Mr Sidhu had replied, his reference to Amarinder Singh, popularly called "Captain", not lost on anyone.
