The Madhya Pradesh assembly election has entered its final phase now and PM Narendra Modi is rallying in farmers hub Mandsaur.

Mandsaur has been at the point of discussion due to the farmers protest in 2015 and 2016, which even led to the killing of 6 farmers and led to a nationwide strike distressed community. The agrarian crisis has been reeling under the core of MP, and the farmers suicide is increasing as per the NCRB data. Madhya Pradesh is also the 4 poorest state in the country, after UP, Bihar and Jharkhand.

PM Narendra Modi has said today in Mandsaur that, “Aajkal main Delhi mein dekh raha hu,Bahut saare log jhoot ke shikar ho chuke hain,kyunki,24 ghante din-raat jahan mauka mile waha jhoot bolne walon ki fauj itna jordaar jhoot bolti hai, itni asaani se bolti hai,aur kabhi kabhi jhoot bolne me bhi confuse ho jaati hai.”

PM Modi targeted the Congress party saying, “Congress manufactures and spreads lies. Indira Gandhi Ji gave the slogan of 'Garibi Hatao' but were they able to eliminate poverty? They nationalised banks and said the poor would benefit from it, but what happened? So many people did not even have accounts.”

Modi added that, “Lekin jo ye jhoot ke shikar hue hain. Delhi ke air-conditioner mein baith kar ke Madhya Pradesh ke chunav ki disha kya hogi, zara Mandsaur ke maidan ke is rang ko dekh lijiye.”

Elaborating about the Sardar Patel statue in Gujarat, “If Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel would have become the first PM of India, then the condition of farmers that have deteriorated in their rule of 55-60 years wouldn't have happened. The farmers of our country would have been strong.”
