Madhya Pradesh: BJP MLA killed in road accident

Late in the night on 9 June, a BJP MLA from the Nepanagar Assembly constituency, Rajendra Dadu, was killed on the spot in a tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore district.

Dadu was travelling from Indore to Bhopal to attend BJP's legislature party meeting held at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence when his car skidded and fell into a roadside ditch.

Dadu's personal assistant and driver also died, after succumbing to their injures at the Chirayu hospital.

Dadu is survived by his wife and three daughters.

This was his second consecutive term as MLA of Nepanagar in Burhanpur district. The gathering, at Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's residence, was curtailed following news of the accident.
