LJP leader Sudesh Paswan murdered in Dumaria, Bihar

Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Sudesh Paswan was murdered in Dumaria district, near Gaya, in Bihar on Wednesday.

As per reports, Sudesh Paswan, the leader from Ram Vilas Paswan's party was campaigning for panchayat elections in Dumaria when he was shot dead, reported NewsX.

The motive for the murder is not yet known, and till now nobody has been arrested.

In February, Baijnathi Singh, another LJP leader was murdered, an incident that drew a lot a lot of criticism towards CM Nitish Kumar's governance.

Bihar has recently been in the news for all the wrong reasons, specially for the killing of Aditya Sachdeva, a class XII student who was allegedly shot dead by Rocky Yadav, a JD(U) MLC Manorma Devi's son for overtaking his car on 7 May.

Recently a senior journalist, Rajdev Ranjan (42), was also shot dead when he left his Siwan office on the evening of 13 May after receiving a call.

Bihar has been on the receiving end of political leaders' comments about how the state has gone back to "Jungle Raj".
