Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's son Rakesh passes away

Son of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Rakesh Siddaramaiah, who was reportedly suffering from acute pancreatitis, passed away on 30 July in Brussels, said reports. He died due to multiple organ failure.

According to media reports, he had been under treatment since the last one week in Belgium Antwerp University Hospital.

Reportedly, Rakesh Siddaramaiah had gone to Tomorrowland Fest-2016 in Belgium. He was accompanied by his friends, Keshav, Shoiab, Rohan and Chethan. The unconfirmed reports suggest that he complained of acute stomach pain.

Following his serious condition, he was put on ventilator.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over his demise.

"My thoughts are with Siddaramaiahji & his family on demise of his son. May God give the family strength to bear the irreparable loss," tweeted the Prime Minister.
