Kanpur: Wife refuses to dance, husband pushes her from rooftop
In a bizarre incident, a man allegedly pushed his wife from rooftop after she refused to dance with him.
28-year-old Vishakha Tiwari, resident Khaptiha village, attended a marriage function with her husband Ajay in Dighwat village of Chillaghat town, Banda district last week, reported the Times of India.
Inebriated Ajay forced Vishakha to dance with him along with other guests during the dance programme in 'kalewa' ritual.
The report added that the wife sustained serious injuries and got both of her legs fractured. She was rushed to the hospital.
Police has registered a case in the incident and wife's statement has been recorded.
"The police have recorded her statement and further investigations are on," TOI quoted a station house officer, Civil Lines, Sanjay Singh as saying.
