Jammu and Kashmir: Ahead of Independence Day, an explosion reported in Budgam district's Tosa Maidan; 3 injured

An explosion has occurred in Tosa Maidan of Budgam district, injuring three people. All the injured have been admitted to hospital. Investigation has begun in the matter. According to the official statement, a mysterious blast took place at Tosamaidan Khag resulting in injuries to three persons.

The 3 injured were taken to Sub Dist Hospital, Khag & 2 of them were later referred to JVC hospital, Srinagar. One of the injured is critical. Police has taken cognisance, said Senior Superintendent of Police.


The injured have been identified as:

1.Wasim Ahmad Ahanger (25)

s/o Bashir Ahmed

2.Mudhasir Ahmad Ganai (20)
s/o Mohd Ramzan

3.Wasim Ahmad Ganai (22)
s/o Ab Majid Ganai

Police have taken the cognisance, it said.
