Jaanisaar and Masaan go tax-free in Uttar Pradesh

Muzaffar Ali's latest big screen outing Jaanisaar has already created quite a stir amongst lovers of old school cinema courtesy its soothing tunes and awe-inspiring trailer. Now there is some more good news in store for the Umrao Jaan director and his fans.

Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of UP, recently stated that he had decided to grant a tax exemption to 'Jaanisaar'. Touted as a romantic drama, the film features Pernia Qureshi and Imran Abbas in the lead. It will be released in theatres this Friday.

Moreover, Yadav also decided to grant tax exemption to the Richa Chadda starrer 'Masaan', which was released a short while ago.
