J&K: 1 soldier dead, 1 injured as Army foils infiltration bid in Tangdhar sector

On 27 October, one jawan lost his life while another sustained injuries as the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid in Jammu and Kashmir's Tangdhar sector along the Line of Control.

The encounter is still underway.

Meanwhile, Pakistan once again violated the ceasefire in Kashmir's Mendhar sector. Security forces in the area have been retaliating, reports ANI.

Earlier today, at least six civilians were injured as Pakistan continued to violate ceasefire in the RS Pura sector of Jammu district, resorting to small arms fire and mortar shelling.

This comes within days of Pakistan rangers violated ceasefire along the International Border (IB) in the RS Pura sector killing a BSF Jawans and injuring several other civilians.

At least 11 civilians were injured and several houses were damaged during the ceasefire violation by Pakistan in R.S. Pura sector early this week.
