Days after reports of a balloon with a message in Urdu and a pigeon carrying a similar message surfaced, a balloon with a message written in Urdu threatening of dire consequences was found in a field on 4 October in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.

According to a PTI report, a man identified as Romesh Kumar found the balloon and informed the police immediately.

"The message in Urdu read 'India has to face the consequences'. It was written on a piece of cloth, which was tied to the balloon," ASI Devanand told PTI.

Adding that the balloon was found on the Himachal Pradesh-Punjab border, DSP Nurpur Navdeep Singh further said that the Senior police officials and the Punjab government have been briefed on the incident.

"The balloon was found on the Himachal Pradesh-Punjab border. The Punjab government has been also informed about it," Singh said.

On 1 October, two balloons with a message in Urdu and purportedly addressed to the Prime Minister were found at Ghesal village in Punjab.

While on 2 October, a pigeon carrying a similar message, apparently from across the border, was taken into 'custody' by the BSF at Pathankot's Simbal post in Bamial sector.
