Prices of gram dal, thoor dal and wheat decreased while that of sugar increased in the wholesale foodgrain market here during the week under review.
Gram dal opened the week at Rs 10,000 less by Rs 1,800 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs 11,800, its price falling again on Thursday by Rs 200 to close the week at Rs 9,800.
Thoor dal was less by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 9,000 from Rs 9,500, its price falling again on Thursday by Rs 500 to finish this week at Rs 8,500.
Opening at the same rate of Rs 3,200, wheat prices decreased on Thursday by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 3,100 to end this week at Rs 3,100.
Sugar prices ruled steady till Thursday at Rs 3,900 when its price rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 4,000 and finished the week at the same rate Rs 4,000.
Moong dal price increased on the opening day to Rs 6,800 from Rs 6,500 but its price fell on Thursday by Rs 300 per quintal to close the week at Rs 6,500.
Urad dal(Rs 9,500),maida (90 kg)(Rs 2,700) and Sooji (90 kg) (Rs 3,200) ruled steady throughout the week.
