Despite PM Modi's deadline, BJP MPs fail to submit bank transaction details to Amit Shah by year-end

More than half of BJP MPs have failed to submit bank transaction details between 8 November to 31 December to party President Amit Shah by the end of 2016 as asked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In BJP's parliamentary party meeting after the demonetisation announcement on 8 Novebmer, PM Modi had directed the MPs to submit the details of their transactions from 8 November to 31 December by the last day of 2016.

A senior BJP leader said that 31 December was Saturday and 1 January fell on a holiday due to which they were not able to furnish the information. However, the MPs will give all the details within two to three days to Amit Shah as directed by the Prime Minister.

Six MPs from Chhattisgarh have not provided the information.

Five MPs from Uttarakhand, two from Bengal, three from Jammu & Kashmir, two from Punjab, two from Goa and one from Odisha have not sent the information of their respective bank accounts.

In Assam - three MPs out of seven have submitted the details.

In Bihar, nine MPs out of 22 have provided the information.

In Chhattisgarh, four MPs out of 10 have submitted the details.

In Delhi, two MPs out of seven have provided the information.

In Gujarat, 12 MPs out of 26 have submitted the details.

In Haryana, three MPs out of seven have submitted the details.

In Jharkhand, five MPs out of 12 have submitted the details.

In Karnataka, seven MPs out of 17 have provided the information.

In Madhya Pradesh, eight MPs out of 26 have submitted the details.

In Maharashtra, 15 MPs out of 23 have submitted the information.

In Rajasthan, 12 MPs out of 25 have submitted the information.

In Uttar Pradesh, 19 MPs out of 71 have submitted the information.
