Delhi's 'serial dog killer' - the man who was caught on CCTV footage brutally attacking and killing stray dogs near a South Delhi metro station - was arrested on 16 April.

A massive manhunt had been set in motion after the CCTV footage showed the man attacking adult dogs and puppies with a knife. The accused is a resident of Lucknow and his weapon, the knife, has also been seized.

The incident came to light last month after three dogs and a puppy were found lying in a pool of blood near the exit gate of Green Park metro station.

CCTV footage showed a man dressed in a jacket and shorts luring the dogs with food before stabbing them. He was also seen flinging a puppy down the metro stairs before leaving the area

A Delhi-based NGO had then announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for anyone who would identify the accused.
