Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received death threats on his official email. The Delhi Government has complained about it to the police on 25 January.
The Press Trust of India quoted sources in the Delhi government as saying that the Chief Minister received two threatening mails from an anonymous sender. According to the media reports, the mails alleged that four men would attack Kejriwal on Republic Day.
Delhi Home Secretary SN Sahay has urged Police Commissioner Alok Verma to investigate the matter. No FIR has been registered in the case yet.
"There's a letter from the Chief Minister's office forwarding an email mentioning some names and numbers of people who want to kill the CM. We are verifying the information," NDTV quoted senior police officer Ravindra Yadav as saying.
