After violence broke out in Amit Shah’s Kolkata rally, high voltage war of words between BJP and TMC is on top. Hours after BJP chief’s presser, Trinamool Congress leader hit back at the saffron party with a video proof over the Tuesday violence. O'Brien released videos in a press meet to claim "BJP goons" damaged statue of polymath Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.

He said, "Streets of Kolkata are tinged with shock, anger. What happened yesterday hurt Bengali pride." Referring to Amit Shah’s allegation in the presser, where he claimed that TMC was behind the violence, Derek O'Brien said, "The man [Amit Shah] who was leading that procession yesterday has come to Delhi and tried to justify what happened."

He also alleged that Central forces are in cahoots with the BJP in Bengal. "We have two more pictures to show, this is to do with the elections, we have nothing personally against the Central forces, we have two startling pictures to expose what we have been saying that the Central forces are in cahoots with the BJP in Bengal," TMC leader said.

Derek O'Brien questioned the BJP chief, "What were your outsiders doing in Bengal? Who is Tajinder Bagga? Wasn’t he the same guy who was arrested when he slapped someone in Delhi?"

TMC leader also called Amit Shah a liar and a traitor, who was seeking votes from Bengal but did not know the history of the state. "Amit Shah is a liar and a traitor. But we aren’t surprised. Seven days ago, he said Tagore was born in Bolpur. Amit Shah, you want Bengali votes? And you don’t know!" the TMC MP said.

Further attacking Shah Derek O'Brien added, "Two days ago, Amit Shah called Bengal Kangal’ (bankrupt) and now this attack on Vidyasagar. We are sad and sorry that this has happened in our Bengal and our Kolkata."

Meanwhile, Derek O'Brien also said that the TMC was collecting proof against the BJP that the violence seen in Kolkata on Tuesday was planned by them. He said that the party will present the evidence to the Election Commission.
