BJP president Amit Shah, who was earlier admitted to AIIMS, after he was diagnosed with swine flu has been discharged from the hospital today, as informed by the BJP leader Anil Baluni.

Shah was admitted to AIIMS on Wednesday night in the old private ward of the institute after the BJP president complained of chest congestion and fever.

The BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Anil Baluni, took to Twitter to inform, “I am glad to announce that our national president Amit Shah has recovered; has been discharged from AIIMS and has returned home. I thank everyone for their wishes.”

Last week, Amit Shah had tweeted informing the country that he has been diagnosed with swine flu and will be taking his treatment in AIIMS. “I have been diagnosed with swine flu and treatment is on. By God’s grace, your love and wishes will recover soon.”

The hospital, in a statement earlier, had said that a team of doctors were monitoring Shah’s condition under the supervision of AIIMS director Randeep Guleria.

Meanwhile, BJP’s National General Secretary Anil Lal was admitted to Kailash Hospital in Noida as he was suffering from high fever. And Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was also admitted to AIIMS as he complained about chest pain and was discharged this week.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has already for US to get the treatment as he is ailing and speculations are being made in the political corridors that he might not be able to return to present the Budget and Piyush Goyal might do the proceedings.
