BJP condemns Anantnag terror attack, pays condolences

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on 11 July condemned on 10 July terror attack in Anantnag and paid their condolences to the families of the deceased.

Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal described the attack as very dastardly and cruel.

"I severely condemn it and pay my condolences to the families of the deceased. I wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured", Piyush added.

Talking about the incident, Minister of State for Home Hansraj Ahir criticised it, and described the terrorists as 'cowards'.

"They are acting coward by attacking innocent people. My condolences with the people who died", Ahir said.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath dubbed the terrorist attack on Amarnath pilgrims as a 'cowardly' one.

At least seven people were killed and 15 injured, after a group of terrorists had earlier opened fire at the bus carrying the pilgrims on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.

The incident occurred at 8.20 p.m. on 11 July when the bus, carrying 17 pilgrims was travelling from Baltal to Mir Bazar.
