A Lokayukta raid at a fair price shop salesman's house in Bhopal has revealed that he is a crorepati.

Suresh Prasad Pandey, with a salary of Rs. 1,200, has been charged with a disproportionate case after officials discovered properties and gold ornaments worth crores, including a double-barrel gun and four vehicles - a Bolero, an Alto, Activa bike and a Honda Shine motorcycle.

The raids led by two Lokayukta officials, Surendra Singh and Devesh Pathak, revealed that the properties owned by the accused are more than 200 times of what he earns as his salary.

Times of India quoted SP Lokayukta, Rewa, TK Vidyarthi as saying, "These raids were conducted following complaints of disproportionate assets. Several documents have been seized and raids are not over."

According to a report in TOI, Pandey has eight bank accounts, including those in the name of his wife and son.
