Bengaluru: Four men book Ola cab and kidnaps driver; forces his wife to strip naked on video call and took screenshots

In an unbelievable incident that was the worst ride on November 30 for the Ola cab driver of his life after he accepted a booking from Adugodi to Dommasandra.

A group of four men booked and boarded Ola cab driven by Somashekhar. They allegedly kidnapped him and not only robbed and assaulted him but also allegedly asked his wife to strip naked on a video call.


Kidnapping to robbing:

The unidentified men book a cab on Friday around 10.20 pm and minutes after reaching the destination, they asked him to drive further towards their home. Soon the cab reached an isolated place, the four passengers thrashed him and snatched away his car keys. They later tied him to the back seat of the car.

After some time, they halt near a burial ground at Ramanagara in Bengaluru and demanded money after assaulting him again. The driver gave the gang Rs 29,000 in total (Rs 9,000 cash and Rs 20,000 Paytm).

It didn't end here....

But they weren't done with this, they allegedly took him to another isolated place where they asked him to video call his wife. They forced him to ask his wife to strip but assaulted him again when his wife denied. Later, she agreed to strip during the video call and they gang allegedly too the screenshots of her.

After this, they took him to the lodge, from where he managed to escape on the pretext of going to the washroom. He then went to Adugodi Police Station and filed a complaint. According to IndiaToday report, a case has been registered by the police station for alleged blackmail, assault and also for outraging the modesty of a woman.
