Aurangabad Violence: Maharashtra Police imposes Section 144 in the city over clash between two groups; situation remains worse

The violent clashes between two groups in Aurangabad city turned into the worst condition because of water connection issue. The situation in the city become so critical that at least 100 shops were gutted. According to the reports, one casualty has come to light. However, it is yet to be confirmed by authorities or law enforcement agencies. After seeing the condition in the city, Maharashtra Police has imposed Section 144 in the city.

On Friday, the clashes emerged after the two group when the illegal water connection at ‘religious place’ was reportedly disconnected. The youths from different groups burned some shops and also attacking each other with some pelting stones. They also burned some vehicles.

Some footage has shown that mob attack on the streets and also set the properties on fire.

 

However, at least 10 policemen injured in the violence.

Maharashtra Police has also imposed Section 144 of the CrPC in the city. Many people took to Twitter to report the incident.

 

According to the ANI, 'Internet services suspended in #Maharashtra's Aurangabad after clash between two groups last night. Section 144 (prohibits assembly of more than 4 people in an area) has been imposed in the city.'
