Assembly Election Results 2018: Rahul Gandhi proves 'Congress abhi zinda hai' after defeating BJP in its own bastion
In the run up to the Lok Sabha election, Rahul Gandhi’s biggest political day is today when the Congress party is winning the 3 BJP ruled state of the Hindi heartland.
Congress is now becoming an inclusive party with a fulcrum of Opposition unity at its doorstep and keeping up with the local factors, leadership and targeting the BJP over pertinent issues.
Still, the political pivot of India revolves around PM Narendra Modi and the election machinery of Amit Shah is still relevant but the pertinent question remains that who will be the unifier of the Congress party, like in the UPA-1 it was George Fernandes.
Rahul Gandhi is leading a changed Congress party, where the focus is not only on the national leadership but on the local and regional leadership and the Rajput caste in Rajasthan and the upper caste in Madhya Pradesh, along with the farmers crisis has led to the win of the Congress party.

The distress among the farmers in MP after the killing of 6 farmers in Mandsaur and unfulfilled promises of passing the MS Swaminathan report, getting the minimum support price for the farmer, and the loan waiver politics has led to the debacle of the BJP.
The height of the anti-incumbency and the alternate which Congress 2.0 presented under Rahul Gandhi has had a new effect on the voters, after a refresh from the politics of Lord Hanuman and Ram Mandir.
The BJP will now have to look into its armory again and provide a course correction in its policies as the election should be more about good governance.
