Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been undergoing treatment and has been on life support since two days in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. In order to check his health, PM Narendra Modi and Union Textile Minister, Smriti Irani made a visit on Wednesday to the hospital. This is Modi's fourth visit after the BJP minister was admitted to the hospital on July 11.

The leader was admitted to the hospital with kidney tract infection, chest congestion, urinary tract infection and urine output on the lower side. He is diabetic and has only one kidney functional. After the stroke that hit him in the year 2009, his cognitive abilities have also weakened. Later, he also developed dementia.

No official announcement has been made regarding the Vajpayee's health. On August 11, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP president Amit Shah also went to AIIMS to visit and inquire about the health of the 93-year-old leader.

Further details awaited.
