Union Home Minister and BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday led the party’s door-to-door 10 days drive to disseminate awareness about the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) with top party leaders reaching out to people throughout the country, in the middle of protests against the law after it was passed in December.

The Union Home Minister visited homes in Lajpat Nagar and spoke to people about the benefits of the CAA. He also handed out literature on the subject and asked them to go through it.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a ‘Jan Jagran’ (public awareness) drive to contact three crore families to attack the opposition’s campaign against the CAA and inform the masses about its attributes.

While Amit Shah was in the national capital, other leaders like Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda and Nitin Gadkari were in various parts of the country as part of the drive, which will conclude on 15th January.
