As Priyanka Gandhi features in all the posters of Congress across UP, and the Gandhi scions are rallying in Lucknow, there is yet another “Priyanka Sena” which has set its own mission for the Lok Sabha polls in 2019.
Men wearing pink color t-shirts with Priyanka Gandhi’s image and slogans printed over it. These are Congress workers who are an “army” of supporters of Priyanka Gandhi and have led a campaign to elevate the aura of Gandhi’s and fulfill the demands of people, by informing what all is happening on ground.

The Sena has a “dress code” for the workers of the ‘Priyanka Army’ and the message written on it, says, “Desh ke samman mein, Priyanka ji maidan mein, Maan bhi denge, samman bhi denge, waqt padega toh jaan bhi denge (To honour the country, with Priyanka Gandhi in the field, we'll give our respect and if needed, we'll lay down our lives as well)”
Sushmita Dev, the head of the Women wing of Congress party, tweeted “With the Priyanka Sena at the Nehru Bhawan, Luckhnow. It’s almost like a celebration here.”
Yesterday, Priyanka Gandhi in a message to the Congress workers had elaborated that she would be coming down to UP’s Lucknow and hold a roadshow along with Rahul Gandhi and Jyotiraditya Scindia.
“Tomorrow, I hope that we can all come together to bring about a new kind of politics. A kind of politics in which all of you will be stakeholders. A kind of politics in which the voice of my youth friends, my sisters and the poorest of the poor will be heard.”
