In a bid to clear the air regarding Amar Singh's re-entry into the Samajwadi Party, Shivpal Yadav today said that Singh will be one of SP's Rajya Sabha candidate.

According to sources, few top guns of the party are dissatisfied with the party's decision to nominate him as the Rajya Sabha candidate.

According to ANI, the party has also named Beni Prasad Verma as a Rajya Sabha candidate. Verma had recently left Congress to rejoin SP.

Apart from Singh and Verma, the party's central parliamentary board at a meeting in Lucknow revealed that Sanjay Seth, Sukhram Yadav, Vishambhar Prasad Nishad, Arvind Singh and Revti Raman Singh have been nominated for a Rajya Sabha seat.

The meeting was reportedly attended by party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav, senior ministers Shivpal Yadav and Azam Khan.
