National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, on 5 October, through a report informed PM Narendra Modi and Cabninet Committee on security that 100 terrorists are preparing to infiltrate and launch attacks in India.
The NSA had briefed Modi and Rajnath Singh on the information, collected from intelligence agencies, prior to the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, NDTV reported.
According to media reports, after India's action, the Pakistani infantry is protecting launch pads near the Line of Control (LoC) and a dozens of launch pads have been identified.
Last week, the army said that "significant casualties" had been caused by Wednesday's surgical strikes, seen as retaliation for the deadly terror attack on an Army camp in Uri last month in which 19 soldiers were killed. Opposition Congress leaders have attempted to negate the surgical strike attack; however, the Indian army has submitted the footage of the strikes to Modi last week.
