AAP's Ashish Kehtan quits the party, days after Ashutosh's resignation; says 'no longer involved in active politics'
In another big blow to Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party's senior leader Ashish Khetan hints exit from the party, days after senior leader and former journalist Ashutosh's resignation. On Wednesday Khetan took Twitter to share his exit from the party and said that he was no longer involved in active politics and was solely focussed on his legal practice.
In a tweet posted in reference to a newspaper article talking about his possible exit from the party, Khetan wrote, “I am completely focused on my legal practice and not involved in active politics at the moment. Rest is all extrapolation.

Khetan's tweet has given a hint that he had quit Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party, months after he resigned as the vice-chairman of AAP-led Delhi government’s think-tank.
The journalist-turned-politician had contested from New Delhi in 2014 Lok Sabha polls and has been the vice-president of Delhi Dialogue Commission. However, a few days back, a former journalist and senior AAP leader Ashutosh had also quit the party stating it 'very very very personal' As per media reports, both Ashutosh and Khetan had submitted their resignations to the party on August 15.
While announcing his decision to quit from the Aam Aadmi Party, Ashutosh had said on Twitter, "Every journey has an end. My association with AAP which was beautiful/ revolutionary has also an end. I have resigned from the PARTY/ requested PAC to accept the same. It is purely from a very very personal reason. Thanks to party/ all of them who supported me Throughout. Thanks.”
Meanwhile, responding to his tweet, Kejriwal rejected Ashutosh's resignation, stating party 'loved him too much'. “How can we ever accept your resignation? Nah, not in this lifetime,” Kejriwal had tweeted on August 15, in regards to Ashutosh’s resignation.
