NRHM scam: Enforcement Directorate attaches ex-UP minister's properties worth Rs 200 crore

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached properties worth Rs 200 crore of an ex-UP minister in connection with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam.

The ED attached the properties in Lucknow and Delhi. The properties are reportedly linked to former Uttar Pradesh minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, Babu Singh Kushwaha.

One of the properties attached by the ED is in the Capital's Karol Bagh area. This comes after the CBI stated that soon it will quiz former UP CM and BSP supremo Mayawati in connection with the alleged swindling of funds in the implementation of the centrally funded NRHM.

The CBI had said that Mayawati was at the helm of affairs when funds from the NRHM were misappropriated and she would be called in for questioning soon.
