Mother fights leopard for 15 minutes to save her child

On September 1, seven-year-old Arun, from the Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh was attacked by a leopard when he went out to defecate in the open.
The incident occurred at 7 am. His mother reacted swiftly and aggressively attacked the animal with stones and sticks, for about 15 minutes.
When the villagers heard her scream, they ran to scare the leopard away with torches. Petrified, the animal ran away to the forest.
Arun suffered injuries on his lower back, abdomen and hand. He was rushed to the hospital by forest officials.The village has been prey to these attacks since long.
