BJP rebel Shatrughan Sinha finally ends the speculations and joined Congress in presence of Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and Randeep Surjewala. While delivering his joining speech, the actor-turned-politician made blunder. Sinha called Shakti Singh Gohil ‘BJP’s backbone’.

"Shatrughan Sinha after joining Congress says, 'Shakti Singh Gohil ji (Bihar Congress In-charge) has been backbone of BJP in Bihar and in Gujarat,' corrects himself later," reported news agency ANI.


Shatrughan Sinha, veteran politician who was sidelined by BJP has joined the Congress party in Delhi, after he was denied a ticket by the BJP from Patna Sahib.

Shatrughan Sinha is all set to contest the Lok Sabha election on Congress ticket from Patna Sahib. Sinha will be faced by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who has been fielded by the BJP, making a tough contest for the two heavyweights.

The Polling for the Lok Sabha elections is scheduled to be held in 7 phase, that will begin from April 11 to May 19. The counting of votes will be done on May 23rd.
