First let us get this out in the universe: Trishala Dutt is bada**.

The daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, 27-year-old Trishala is Dutt's eldest child. Raised by her maternal grandparents, Trishala lives in New York and runs a successful business - DreamTresses Hair Extensions.

Now, if you're human and happen to have any social media accounts, you're obviously familiar with how trolling works. And if you're a woman with a social media account, there is no privacy setting powerful enough to protect you.

Last Friday, Trishala, whose Instagram account is pretty popular with 45.2k followers, decided she's had it with the online bullying and shamed her troll in a way he'll hopefully remember for the rest of his life.

Salman Naseer-Trishala

Here's what happened:

  • Salman Naseer wanted to know if Sanjay Dutt is indeed Trishala's father
  • She told him he was
  • Unable to cope with this bit of information, Salman inquired if he could meet Sanjay and asked her out in the same breath
  • Silence from Trishala, made him kinda-sorta lose his mind and he called her 'an ugly b*tch*

Umm. That escalated quickly.

Taking to Instagram, Trishala took this gentleman down a few pegs, wondering why we cannot seem to take rejection with dignity. But it is her parting shot that needs to be reiterated: "I would never even throw a dog bone at you bro."

OUCH. #ApplyBalmOnBurn

Trolls will troll, because that's how they roll. And more often than not, we ignore these intrusive messages, not wishing to interact with strangers using their keyboards as a weapon.

But does that really stop the trolling or does it get increasingly abusive, more personal, more antagonizing? Call them out, ladies. Maybe we can shame them into not being so obnoxious.
