Reward for kindness: Mizo boy’s innocent gesture towards a dead chick wins the hearts of Twitterati

Mizoram’s 6-year-old boy who accidentally run over the chicken with his cycle has become the talk of netizens these days. His innocent gesture towards the dead chicken made everyone to praise him. Even his school has given him a reward of ‘Word of Appreciation’ certificate for his kindness towards the chick.

A few days back, the boy from Sairang unintentionally ran over chicken of his neighbour, with his cycle and then, to save the life of chick, he had taken the bird to the hospital with all the money that he had in his pocket.


This heartwarming story came to light when a Facebook user uploaded the picture of the boy named Derek C Lalchhanhima, who was holding an injured chick. This post took no time to went viral on social media.

“This young boy from Sairang, Mizoram, accidentally ran over his neighbour’s chicken with his cycle. He took the chicken, ran to the nearest hospital and with all the money he had, asked for help. (I’m laughing and crying all at the same time),” read the post.

 

Besides reward from the school, Derek also received the traditional Mizo practice, Tawlhloh Puan, which is an honour given to those who have shown their extraordinary courage.

Also, he becomes the real of Twitterati who are unstoppable to appreciate the Class 1st student who has no idea that he is the new sensation of the Internet.
