The city of absolute joy. This ATM singer will blow your mind

There are ATM machines that play music - horrible twangs strung together making weird noises passing off as some vague instrumental "music." If only all the ATM machines had a guy like Bidhan Mondol to make the cash withdrawal experience more melodious. Popular Bengali stand-up comic Mir uploaded a video recently on YouTube which showed Mondol - a security guard at the Axis Bank ATM on Anwar Shah Road, Kolkata, singing a classical song and managed to pull it off brilliantly.

Mondol was humming a tune when Mir walked into the ATM. When he asked Mondol to sing one for him, Mondol started off crooning Lat uljhi suljha ja re balam, a tune made famous by iconic Pakistani singer Noor Jehan aka Malika-e-Tarannum.

If only a Mondol were a figure in every ATM to make the process of looking at account statements less traumatic. Such beautiful renditions would definitely dull the pain, both of the frustration of checking account statements and the other danger of listening to autotune type music blaring from the ATMs. May the force be with this one.
