Fake news and videos have been circulating widely through social networking sites like Whatsapp, Twitter or Facebook.

A Google engineer Supasorn Suwajanakorn is developing a tool called 'Reality Defender' app that can create a realistic fake video. Such video would be created by closely monitoring gestures of a person like his mouth, teeth and hand movement and create a video having perfect lip sync. This latest tool has pros and corns.

During a TED Conference in Vancouver, Columbia, he said," I let a computer watch 14 hours of pure Obama video, and synthesized him talking," He also added that the potential of misuse concerns him.

Such a virtual version can be helpful for those whose grandparents have passed away. One can seek advice from such videos.  Concerned about the misuse he shared that he is working on counter-measure technology to detect fake images and video.
