Pak helicopter misuse case: Imran Khan summoned before NAB today
The PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) chairman and Pak Prime minister nominee Imran Khan would appear before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) today in connection to the misuse of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government's helicopters which resulted in a loss of 2.1 Million.
The newly-nominated Prime Minster is accused misusing Mi-17 and an Ecureuil helicopter that belong to the KP government. He used the helicopter for 74 hours, resulting in a loss of Rs 2.1 million.
Khan was summoned by the accountability body on July 18, but he had asked for some time as he was busy with campaigning for the general election. Retired NAB chairman Justice Javed Iqbal launched a probe against the PTI chief in February this year.
The probe was also launched against the then-KP chief minister Pervez Khattak over the unofficial use of two government helicopters. While Khattak has already appeared before the investigation team, Khan is scheduled to appear today.
