One person died and 12 people were injured in a blast at a restaurant in Ansbach, near Nuremberg in Germany, at about 10.12 pm local time on Sunday night.
The person who died appeared to have been the bomber, said a police spokesperson, though no information is available about the cause of the blast or the motivation.
While some local media reported that the blast was caused by a gas leak, a spokesperson of the Bavarian interior ministry said it did not appear to be an accident, but was intentional, according to The Indian Express.
The man was apparently carrying a backpack. So far there are no signs of further attacks.
A music festival taking place nearby was evacuated as a precaution.
