Union Minister Renuka Singh threatens district officials at coronavirus quarantine centre in Chhattisgarh [Watch]

Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Renuka Singh warns the she ‘Knows how to take people to a room and thump them with belt’ as she was caught on camera making threats against district officials at a quarantine centre in Chhattisggarh. The union minister, was captured on film issuing threats on Sunday.

"Dadagiri nahin chalegi," says union minister Renuka Singh, at the coronavirus quarantine centre at Balrampur, around 400 km away from capital Raipur.


"No one should think our government is not in power. We ruled for 15 years. The central government has enough money for coronavirus. I will make sure people get the funds they need. Don't think these saffron-wearing BJP workers are weak," Renuka Singh rage against officials who are not seen in the video.

"Andheri kothri me le ja ke na main belt khol ke thokna jaanti hu bohot acche se (I know how to lock people in a room and beat them with a belt)," the minister said.

A resident of Balrampur district, Dilip Gupta had recorded the clip of awful facilities at the quarantine center and posted it on social media. He alleged that the officials had beaten him up for uploading the video. The allegedly pulled his hair and took away the video too.

The Union Minister went to the isolation centre and talked to Dilip Gupta. Her outburst reportedly followed her tour.

Dilip Gupta was placed under isolation at the centre after his return from Delhi. On the video clip he took, he had complained about the quality of food and other facilities at the centre.
