Rajasthan: 25-year-old woman gang raped and brutalised by 3 men

A woman from Dalit community was allegedly gang-raped by three men last week. The accused allegedly brutalised the victim and inserted a bottle in her private part. The incident happened in Rajasthan’s Nagaur. The accused didn’t stop here, they allegedly threatened to murder her family if they approached the police.

On 19th January, the victim had gone out of her house to get milk. The accused allegedly approached the woman and she tried to run away.

However, the accused managed to catch hold of the victim and took turns to rape her. They also inserted a glass bottle in the victim’s private part when she threatened to go to the police.

The woman went home after the incident and told her ordeal to her family. The accused allegedly went to the victim's house and threatened to kill them if they went to the police.

On Sunday, The woman's family approached the police and registered a complaint. The family also alleged that the cops didn’t file a complaint initially. A senior official said that the police station in-charge, didn’t act to the complaint.

"We will find out if there is any negligence," The officer added.

Following the horrific incident, the victim was taken to the Parbatsar Hospital and one of the three accused was taken into custody.

Efforts are being made to arrest the other accused.
