Hyderabad: 4-year-old girl raped by chef of private college; authorities try to hide crime

The 32-year-old man has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for raping a minor girl inside the premises of the private college in Hyderabad.

According to the media reports, the man has been identified as a private college chef in Hyderabad, Telangana. The shocking part of the case was that college authorities tried to hide the case by giving bribe to the parents of the victim and also asked them to leave the city after taking money.

According to the reports in Times of India, the college authorities have allegedly denied the accusations made by the parents. The appalling rape case took place on March 10.

Meanwhile, police have arrested the man and also booked him under the POCSO Act.

As per media reports, the minor girl is the daughter of a migrant family from West Bengal and a few months ago they have shifted to Hyderabad.

The victim’s father told that his wife asked the daughter to go outside their dwelling, but she didn’t return for a while. When she searched for her daughter and found her daughter scared and bleeding.

After the incident came to light, the family of the victim approached the college authorities demanding action.

As per the statement given by school authorities, the accused chef has been handed over to the Police and the case also registered against him. He also added that both the victim and the accused were residing at the servants' quarters of the college.

The father of the girl alleged that the college administration offered him Rs 10,000 to remain silent as police case would damage the reputation of the college. He also added that college officials also asked him to leave the city after receiving the money. Police said the accused was arrested on the same day the crime took place.
