BJP, Congress leaders gang-raped Dalit girl

A shocking news came to light from Gujarat where a 19-year-old Dalit girl filed FIR against BJP, Congress leader among 3 accused of allegedly kidnaping and raping her at gunpoint in Rajkot district on Wednesday. The accused has been identified as Amit Padaliya, Shanti Padaliya and Vipul Shekhda.

As per reports, Amit Padaliya is a local BJP leader and has also served as general secretary of the BJP’s Kotdasangani taluka unit in past. Also, his mother is sarpanch of the village. Whereas another accused named Shanti Padaliya is an elected Congress member of Kotdasangani taluka panchayat.


The victim who is also a native of Kotdasangani taluka filed the complaint against the three accused, however, no arrest has been taken so far by the police. In her complaint, she stated that the 3 accused abducted her from her house in the afternoon. Later they gang-raped her in the car and by evening they threw her near her house as soon as her family saw her in the distraught condition they admitted her to Gondal Civil Hospital where she filed the complaint against the three accused.

Rajkot SP Balram Meena said, “An FIR has been filed against the three persons. We came to know that one of the accused Amit is a son of the sarpanch. However, we don't have any knowledge of their political affiliations. So far, there has been no arrest.”
