Fear of Coronavirus? Indians should know these important things instead of getting panic

Coronavirus’ fear-mongering across the globe and there are several questions that are running in the minds that make us feel vulnerable or panic.

India has also confirmed around 21 positive cases after 15 Italian tourists were tested positive. All the 15 Italian tourists have been quarantined on their arrival after they were tested positive at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Meanwhile, all 15 Italian tourists have been kept at the ITBP facility at Chhawla since Tuesday afternoon.


Because of these positive cases in India, the Ministry of Health has released several advisories to people about COVID-19.

Health Ministry has asked Indians to take precautions before moving out of their home.

 

The deadly virus has become the national anxiety at the moment as no treatment has come to light. So, in such a case, the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.

If you are also taking stress or getting panic about the Coronavirus then we have brought some important precautions and tips that you can follow without any fear:

  1. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using the washroom. Also, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  2. In case, you are having a cold, sneeze or running nose, then consult the doctor immediately and also maintain your hygiene. Also, stay at your home when you are sick.
  3. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  4. Wear face masks to reduce the risk of infection either you are at a public place or a professional place.
  5. Follow CDC recommendations:
  • CDC does not recommend that people who are well wearing a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
  • It also suggests that people who show symptoms of COVID-19 should wear facemasks.
  • Facemask is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of infected person.

So far, at least 438 persons in India have been reported as suspects, and out of the total 225 patients have completed the 28 days of surveillance and 189 are still under observation.

According to the official release, at least 89 persons have been kept in isolation. Out of 118 tested, 103 have been found negative and results of 14 are awaited.
