Crime caught on CCTV: Man kills friend for Rs 400

A man allegedly killed his friend over Rs 400 in the Ulhasnagar area of Thane district in Maharashtra on Tuesday.

The entire crime scene was also caught on a CCTV camera installed in the area.


The accused man killed his friend after a financial dispute. The victim has been identified as Faim Sheikh. He got hit by a pole while being thrashed by the accused. Reportedly, Sheikh died on spot.

According to The Times of India report, the accused has been identified as Sonu Gupta.

The dispute broke out between the two because of Rs 400 which Sonu gave to Faim, Hill Line Police said.

Sonu was demanding his money back from Sheikh but he reportedly refused to give him back which lead to a fight.

During the scuffle, Sonu manhandled the victim and then Sheikh got hit by a nearby pole leading to his immediate death.

As per CCTV footage, Sheikh’s brother and some of his friends tried to stop the fight.

Meanwhile, the accused Sonu has been arrested by the police. He has been booked under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
