Can we give an award to Liam Neeson's voice already?
The cinematic adaptation of the children's magical fantasy book, A Monster Calls, by journalist, critic and columnist Patrick Ness, is coming to a screen near you on 21 October.
The book merges the real world with the imaginary world of a little boy named Conor. A Monster Calls is the story of an orphan (played by Lewis MacDougall) who paints to cope with the loss of his mother. One of his paintings, that of a monster, comes to life. What's not to like here?
The first trailer of the Juan Antonio Bayona-directed film dropped last night and it looks like it's going to be a visual treat.
Bayona's considerable cinematic prowess, prodded by Ness' lovely screenplay, gives us a trailer that manages to keep us entertained from start to finish.
The star cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Felicity Jones, Toby Kebbell, Geraldine Chaplin.
