Jared Leto denies sending used condoms to 'Suicide Squad' co-stars

At the time of 'Suicide Squad's release, there were reports that Jared Leto sent "used condoms" to his co-stars as gifts.

But Leto is now denying one of the most disgusting rumors about his time as 'The Joker' in the movie.

While talking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor said that most of the reports were total "bulls**t".

He said, "Most of it was total bullsh**t. Like that I was giving used condoms to people, which was not true. It doesn't matter how loud you shout or hold up a sign with your pants off in Times Square - people will run the story that they want."

Though the 'Dallas Buyers Club' star did not give out used condoms and other equally creepy gifts, he did actually give gifts that he thought the Joker might give to the cast and crew.

"I gave wrapped gifts to everyone, and people were thrilled to get them. They were laughing. We were giving whatever The Joker would give was the idea. It was really touching at the end to go and give the gifts. We'd be filming and people would be laughing, and they'd go and open up and there'd be a porno magazine or something, you know, plus 60."

Adding, "It would be whatever would be funny. You know, whatever would be absurd or outrageous."

It should be noted that Jared Leto will next be seen in Denis Villeneuve's 'Blade Runner 2049,' which also stars Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling.

The flick is slated to release in the UK cinemas on 6 October.
