Frozen, the Disney film that has become every child's anthem and every parent's nightmare will soon be released as a book and a TV series.

Disney Publishing will debut the first novel in July, while Disney channel will air the TV series with a special Lego-animated version this fall, eonline.com reported.

"The shorts (TV series) are unbelievably cool. Fans are absolutely going to love it," actor Josh Gad, who played Olaf in the movie, said in a statement.

"All of the voice talent from the original film is back. This is going to be unbelievable you guys," he added.

"I think fans love Olaf because he's funny, loyal and a great friend and going on any adventure with him is fun," he said.

The latest announcement comes as Disney continues to expand the Frozen empire. In February this year, the Disney Theatrical Group announced that a musical adaptation will open in the spring of 2018 after a limited pre-Broadway engagement in the summer of 2017.

For now, Gad is excited about the upcoming summer project."I fell in love with Frozen because of the amazing story, characters and music and I'm so honoured to continue to be a part of it," he shared.

"My kids also happen to be huge fans and it's really special to voice one of their characters. I'm so unbelievably excited to be back as Olaf," he said.
