Amid Bill Cosby's accusations of sexual assault, Drexel University has joined a number of other schools in rescinding an honourary degree awarded to him.
Talking about the issue, John A. Fry, Drexel's President said that the misconduct that came to light in a deposition given by the 78-year-old comedian stands in clear opposition to the Philadelphia school's values, reports News24.com.
The Cosby Show star was given the honourary degree in 1992 when he was keynote speaker at Drexel's convocation, marking the beginning of the school year.
