UP Government introduces new uniforms for students; details inside

Uttar Pradesh government school has brought a new change for government school students. Now, UP government schools students will get a new uniform on a pilot basis in some district of the state.

As per the reports of news agency PTI, school students would wear a Khadi uniform to promote the indigenous fabric among children, UP education minister said on Thursday.


UP govt school students from Classes 1 to 5 will have to wear Khadi uniforms. With the introduction of Khadi at primary level, children would understand the importance of Khadi, Anupma Jaiswal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Basic Education told reporters here.

She also said, ‘Initially, the project will be implemented in one block each in the four districts of the state including Bahraich from the academic session beginning in July.’

 

Uniform and dress code:

The education minister also told that there will be different colour shades for boys and girls.

Boys’ school uniform:

Dark brown trousers and pink shirts

Girls’ school uniform:

Brown skirts and pink tops.

While the collars of shirts will be brown for both boys and girls.
