Students win prizes and accolades at Kala Utsav 2016

Kala Utsav 2016, the annual festival to celebrate the talent of school children all over the country, concluded on Friday at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi. The three-day event saw participation of school students from all states and Union Territories except Lakshdweep. Students from Leh-Ladakh region of J&K participated for the first time.

The festival was organized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development in collaboration with National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).

Minister of State Mahendra Nath Pandey appreciated the performance of children, and in particular of divyang students.

Various states and UTs were awarded on the occasion. The first prize comprised of a golden trophy shield with a cash prize of Rs 1.25 lakhs, second prize a silver trophy with Rs 75,000 and third prize a bronze trophy with Rs 50,000.
