SSC CGL 2016 to conduct exams again for few candidates on 27 October

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has decided to conduct the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam again for a handful candidates. According to a notification published on the commission's website, the test will be held for candidates who appeared for the second shift (Batch II) exam on 27 August from 4.15 - 5.30pm. The SSC will conduct the re-test for these candidates on 27 October.

The notification further stated the SSC CGL results 2016 for Tier I exam will be announced on 8 November 2016.

The commission has also announced the dates for CGL Tier 2 exam, which will be held from 30 November to 2 December 2016.

The computer-based SSC CGL exam was held from 27 August to 11 September at 415 centres across 96 cities throughout the country.

Due to the ongoing unrest at the Vallley, the test at Srinagar centre was held on 25 September. About 38.04 lakh candidates had registered for the exam, of which, nearly 14.99 lakh candidates, divided in 43 batches, appeared for the exam.

"The result for CGLE (Tier-I)-2016, in context of the revised schedule of the examination, is tentatively proposed to be declared on 08.11.2016 and that CGLE (Tier-II)-2016 would be tentatively held w.e.f. 30.11.2016 to 02.12.2016. The firm dates would be declared very shortly," stated a notice on the official website.
